PLASTIC INJECTION...

Injection is one of the processes by which products are created from plastic materials. Thermo plastic raw materials in the form of granules fall freely from the hopper into a heated barrel. The granules moves slowly along the barrel by a cochlear piston, so-called "Šneka" (Ger. Schnecke) and melts and mixes along the way. The melted plastic mass is injected under pressure through a nozzle into the tool where it takes on the given form, cools and stiffens.

The entire sequence of events in injecting a single piece of molding is called a cycle of injection. The cycle begins by closing the tool followed by a process of injecting plastic mass into the tool. Once the tool is "filled" constant pressure of the material compensates "squeezing" the material in the tool, allowing a given shape and dimension. In the next step "Šneka" retreats back to prepare the dose for the following injection. This is part of the cycle is called dosing. At the same time, the product is cooled inside the tool a certain time period, after which the tool opens and the product is ejected from the tool by the ejecting system. Then the entire cycle starts again. Because of all that is mentioned, it is clear that the tool needs to be cooled for successful production. Usually water is circulated in a channel system and therefore cools the tool. A colder tool is usually more efficient because it allows the cycle to last a shorter period time thereby gaining in productivity.

In our production plant we have 9 injectors of different sizes and characteristics. The main characteristics of some of them can be seen inside the frame beside the text. Since we have our own tool room in which we create tools for injecting, most of the production is composed of injecting in our plant with the same tools, with which we can offer a better service to the partners, more flexible delivery terms, quicker reaction for any changes, etc.

Guided by the principle of excellence, that was recognized by customers throughout the EU, we succeeded to achieve with our work export sales of over 90%, while the products composed of parts injected in our plant are placed on shelves around the world or in the manufacturing plants of respectable representatives of the automotive, electronic, process and measurement industry.

If words are not enough...

In the attached video you can see an example of molding plastic products:

the cycle of plastic injection molding is shown in which the injector operates in automatic mode, and the necessary use of hydraulics and pneumatics, without which the automatic molding cycle would not be possible in the case of the presented product.
